i'm making the music for the motion picture Pojktanten starring Eli Levén. The film is made by director Ester Martin Bergsmark who has made experimental documentarys such as Svälj (Swallow) and most recently, in theatres soon, Maggie vaknar på balkongen (Maggie in wonderland).

2008 feb 9 - gospel!
today rainbow gospel stockholm came to the studio and recorded an á capella version of the song love is stronger than steel. it was a warm, sweety and exciting session! you will hear the result on the new album.

2007 dec 12 - recording new album
i have been recording the new album since late spring this year. it has the working title have i ever told you i love you?. so far, i have half the album more or less done. and i have one song from the new album on the spanish compilation souvenir desde umeå, released by the fine collective fikasound.

there is no release date set for the new album yet, i'm looking at different ways of releasing at the moment.

2007 oct 9 - U.S. release!!!!!!!!!
dear reader,
time has come for me to gaze at the sunset over the atlantic, to wonder what lays ahead, to boldly go where i have never gone before. yes, it is time to let the people across the wide and deep ocean of the atlantic know of me and my music. it is time to go west, to the land of opportunities. oh yes, it is time for the north american release of my debut album wherever thou art!!! today we celebrate. tomorrow we shall overcome.

ok! enough with big words. yes, today on october 9, the album is released on u.s. label saltwater records. you can get it in stores and on cdbaby.

2007 feb 7 - i'm not dead
and i haven't quit music either as some seem to think. i'm very much alive i daresay. though i really have to find a smoother and easier way to update this page. is there anyone out there who's good in web designing and want to help out? i'm thinking of doing it in blog form..

anyway. i've been busy releasing wherever thou art in finland and norway. release date is set to march 8. and i will also go on a small finnish tour to promote the release. date for the u.s.-release is not yet set but i'm counting on a late march early april release. i'm putting the final touch on the american cover.

we are also chancing the live set and will increase the number of performers on stage, from 3 to 5. and we have great ideas for our stage wear. it will be glamorous, delicate and a bit queer if you will. don't want to give away the surprise but i'll put up some photos as soon as possible. on february 17 we will do our first stockholm performance for in a while.

remember, love is tronger than steel.

2006 nov 30 - how long, how long...
...since i last wrote here. i'm so very sorry. 2 months is far too long to be quiet. i promise, it won't happen again. i think i'll seperate this post in three different parts, spain, linköping and right now.

so spain was amazing. i've made so many new friends, travelled all over the country by every transport available except boat and lots and lots of other stuff. you can read all about it on my myspace blog: here. it took me several hours to write it so you better read it... or not, you don't have to.

and linköping, it was great! lovely audience and great sound! just one thing: whoever stole my kazoo, you better use it good. it's not nice to steal other peoples stuff, but if you really had to (it could have been of life and death) i want you to make a song with it or use it in an orchestra or whatever.

right now things is not calming down but i won't do any shows for a while, at least not until next year. i will finally start to record new stuff. i got more or less ten new songs spining in my head and i have to get them out of there cause i can't seem to fit much more in there. i will also record more songs with jenny (pretty in panic), keep an eye out. it's not good, it's wonderful.

i'll write again soon and let you know about the recording progress and the release plan for u.s.a. too.

2006 sep 21 - lloyd cole and a dream coming true
dear friends, today i found out that one of my dreams is about to come true. on october 9 i will perform at södra teatern in stockholm. the second i put my foot in that theatre i knew what i wanted, to be on that stage. it's so beatiful and wonderful. if you've ever been there you know what i'm talking about. and i'm very also honored to be supporting lloyd cole on the swedish part of his october tour. i will accompany him to gothenburg and play at stenhammarsalen in the concert house. and you wouldn't want to miss it if i were you because i'm bringing a cello player and an accordion player to back me up. trust me, it sounds wonderful. i truly want you all to be there on monday when my dream come true.

2006 aug 25 - national radio and reviews
dear friends, tomorrow on saturday you can hear me speak on national radio. pelle gustafsoon from the show p3 lab invited me over for an interview yesterday. it was very nice and hopefully i won't sound as dumb as i am. pelle will also play 3 songs from the album, and i won't tell you which cause then it wouldn't be a surprice! so, tune in tomorrow on 99,3 mhz around 9.03 pm.

finally i have updated and uploaded what seems to be every review made for the album. if you know any other review made please let me know. i would really appreciate it, it's hard to keep track of everything myself. go look under the 'downloads' section.

2006 aug 15 - tomorrow is d-day!!!
i'm too stressed to be nervous about it but it's a fact: tomorrow is the day i been waiting for a long long time. it would be safe to say it's a dream coming true. still it's strange to finally reach such a goal. i don't feel empty, but rather calm and... satisfied. not in the crave type of way. just satisfied and at ease with myself. and tired of course, .. totally tired. so i just wanted to say a few words about tomorrow. and yes i have updated the reviews, quite a few and most often very nice. read them here.

tomorrow, on the release date, i will play live in the very best record store in stockholm and perhaps even in all of sweden, record hunter. and on friday it's time to party!! release party on club pingvin at street in hornstull, stockholm. that's all for now... oh no just forgot, don't forget to but the record (why not here?)!!!
